When adding a new distributor, or later when modifying their data, you can indicate that they will be a manager of distributors, so that you can enable or not, so they can add distributors that depend on them, and also so they can activate or cancel the tickets of the distributors that depend on them. In this way, distributor managers help you as the event administrator to control distributors and sales, as well as to cancel or reactivate tickets as appropriate. Distributor managers can assign the tickets they have assigned, among the distributors that depend on them, and also recover tickets from their distributors and redistribute them.
To make a distributor that you have previously registered a manager, you must follow these steps:
- Click on Menu => Distributors => Active. The list of those who are active is displayed.
- Search for the distributor to make manager, and click on 'modify'.
- Select the option 'This distributor is a manager of distributors'. In addition, you can allow them to add new distributors, which will depend directly on them, and if you want to allow them to cancel/activate tickets of their distributors.
The operations that a distributor manager can perform are:
- If the event administrator enables it, they can add new distributors from their intranet. The distributors they add directly become listed as depending on them.
- Of the printed tickets they have assigned by the administrator, they can redistribute them among the distributors that depend on them. If for example they have tickets from 1 to 100 assigned, they can assign from 1 to 20 to a distributor, so that in the sales statistics, they will appear as sold by the distributor dependent on them, but will be recorded as sold as sales manager.
- The printed tickets assigned to the distributors dependent on them, can be taken away, so that they will now be recorded as assigned to the distributor manager.
- The electronic tickets that the manager has assigned, can be assigned to the distributors that depend on them. If for example they have 150 electronic tickets assigned, they can assign them in the way they consider to their distributors.
- The electronic tickets assigned to the distributors dependent on them, can be taken away, so that the number of electronic tickets of the manager will increase by the amount of electronic tickets removed.
- If the event administrator enables it, they can cancel the tickets of the distributors they consider necessary (suppose for example the loss of printed tickets by their distributors, or the lack of payment for them), also reactivate it.
- A manager can deactivate a distributor that depends on them, so they cannot access the intranet, and thus not distribute electronic tickets.
- If they have enabled the registration of distributors, a manager can delete a distributor that depends on them, thus removing the assigned tickets, and in addition they will not be able to access the intranet, and thus not distribute electronic tickets.
- If they have enabled the possibility of uploading an excel file with the emails, name and/or ID of the attendees, they can send tickets to attendees massively, and save the attendee data, so that they appear in the attendance reports after validations.
The changes you make to distributor managers have the following effects:
- A distributor that you have previously registered without a manager, you can modify it to depend on a manager, in this way you allow the manager to assign and control their tickets.
- You can change the manager of a distributor, who already has a manager assigned previously. With this operation you also modify the statistics, and make the tickets assigned to the previous manager, become the new manager's.
- You can make a distributor manager stop being a manager, assigning them a manager so they depend on them. With this operation you also make the sales people who depended on them, depend on the new manager, so the tickets will have the new one as manager to control them.
- You can make a distributor manager stop being a manager, but this time without assigning them a manager. With this operation you also make the sales people who depended on them, no longer depend on any manager, being only controlled by the event administrator.
When registering a distributor, you can do it indicating that they depend on a distributor (this second one will be their manager), so that you allow the manager to assign and control their tickets.
A distributor that you have previously registered, you can modify it to depend on a manager, and for this you must follow these steps:
- Click on Menu => Distributors => Active/Deactivated. The list of those who are active/deactivated is displayed.
- Search for the distributor to modify, and click on 'modify'.
- Select from the dropdown the manager distributor you want them to depend on.
